Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Learn the Stars account and everything stored with it. There are two ways to do it, depending on whether you still have the app installed.
If you still have the app
This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.
- Open Learn the Stars on your phone
- Go to Settings
- Under Account, tap Delete account
- Confirm when asked
Your account is erased the moment you confirm.
If you've already uninstalled the app
Email us from the address you used to sign in, and we'll delete the account for you. Just say you'd like your account deleted — no particular wording is needed.

What gets deleted
- Your account and your email address
- The copy of your progress stored on our servers — completed tours, streaks, badges, and journals
- The location saved with your account
This is permanent. We do not keep a backup copy, so deleted accounts cannot be restored.
What stays on your phone
Deleting your account does not wipe the app on your device. Your progress there remains so you can keep using Learn the Stars without an account — it simply stops being backed up.
If you want to clear that too, use Settings → Reset all progress, or uninstall the app.
The mailing list is separate
If you signed up for launch news on our website, that's a separate list from your app account. To leave it, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we've sent you, or ask us at hello@learnthestars.app.
